Colors of the World Festival held before New Year holidays

The event also featured an award part for activists.

The evening was visited by Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan Dawood Mirzakhani, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Kazan Uğur Yılmaz, diplomats of consulates general of China and Uzbekistan, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, Head of the Section of Adaptation of International Students Rustam Musin, and others.

The Vice-Rector opened the festivities by saying, “The festival has become a good tradition. During the year, we have held many events and meetings; our branch in Uzbekistan continues working, and a branch in Cairo has opened doors. It’s a big and interesting undertaking, and we have yet much more ahead. I want to wish you success.”

As of the end of year, KFU is hosting over 12 thousand international students from 100 countries.

Consul General Mirzakhani greeted the audience, “I want to express gratitude to the organizers and partners of the fest. I wish everyone success, health, and happy New Year.”

The two leaders then gave away appreciation letters and gifts to employees and student activists.

The guests and the audience reminisced on some of the more memorable events of the year, such as Summer University, 11th Convention of the Association of International Students of Russia, and OIC Youth Scientific Congress, and the 50th anniversary of the International Friendship Club.

As usual, the gala concert showed a plethora of talents from various countries of the world. A small expo of cultures and traditions was also set up.
