Winners of 7th Family Fest of Kazan University awarded

The ceremony took place on 26 May.

The Family Fest is organized half-yearly by KFU’s Department of Youth Policy, Local Trade Union, and Student Union. It features talent nominations for the employees’ children in drawing, handicraft, dancing, vocals, instrumental music, and public speaking. Kids from 1 to 16 years old are eligible. Apart from that, the Fest also featured a trivia quiz contest, a photo expo, and a sports relay.

The Fest day itself was also marked with various activities, such as scientific experiments, face painting, board games, a magic show, and others. Naturally, the best artworks were exhibited in the foyer. The gala concert featured little talents and invited performers alike. The winners were congratulated by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky.

This year, 460 families of KFU employees joined at least one of the nominations, which is the biggest number ever. The most active family was awarded with a three-day ship vacation for four persons. Many others received prizes and memorabilia. Furthermore, eight academic dynasties were commended as part of the Year of Pedagogue and Mentor in Russia.
