4th Kazan International Legal Forum co-organized by KFU

A major legal science event took place on 3rd and 4th October 2025.

Here are some of the most important developments which occurred in the two days of the forum:

1. Rector Lenar Safin addressed the participants of the plenary session. Other contributors were Chairman of the Committee of the Council of the Federation on Constitutional Law and State Building Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma on State Building and Law Pavel Krasheninnikov, Director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Legal Studies Taliya Khabrieva, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Chairman of the Board of te Association of Russian Lawyers Vladimir Gruzdev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and Deputy of the State Duma Nikolay Valuev.
2. Head of VEB.RF State Corporation Igor Shuvalov received the title of Honorary Doctor of Kazan Unviersity. He was congratulated by Rector Lenar Safin and Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin.
3. 12th Symposium of the journal Vestnik Grazhdanskogo Protsessa (Notifications of the Civil Process), including a presentation of two books by Pavel Krasheninnikov. The editions cover the development of Soviet legislation in 1939 – 1964.
4. A charitable photo session, Photo for the Good, with participation from former boxing world champions Nikolay Valuev and Denis Lebedev.
5. A round table, Quality of Law Education and Market Demand for Law Experts in the Labor Market, held with participation from Minister of Labor and Social Welfare of Tatarstan Elmira Zaripova.
6. A discussion session on the legal heritage of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
7. A discussion of the history of symbols and elements of the judicial process.

The other co-organizers were Republic of Tatarstan, Executive Committee of Kazan, Association of Russian Lawyers, and Association of Law Faculty Alumni of KFU.
