5th Kazan International Legal Forum hosted by Kamal Theater

The event is co-organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Mayor’s Office of Kazan, Kazan Federal University, and the Association of Law Faculty Alumni of KFU. General partners are law firms Yalilov & Partners and Orlova/Ermolenko.

The opening ceremony featured addresses by Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of VEB.RF Corporation Igor Shuvalov, Director of the Institute of Law and Comparative Legal Studies of the Government of Russia Taliya Khabrieva, Chairman of the Committee for State Building and Law of the State Duma of Russia Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the Association of Russian Lawyers Vladimir Gruzdev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and General Director of Tatneft Nail Maganov. Boris Boltyansky, Chief Editor of Pravo.ru, moderated the opening ceremony and read out a welcome letter from the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Russia Valery Zorkin. The plenary session’s tagline was Legal Provisions for ESG Transformation: From Global Objectives to National Priorities.

This forum’s 53 sessions bring together 327 legal experts from 74 cities of Russia and 30 other countries.

In her comment to the press, Dean of the Faculty of Law of KFU Liliya Bakulina mentioned that the forum was conceived by the faculty, its Alumni Association, and the Board of Trustees. The event has since become a notable entry in the calendar for many government agencies, experts, academics, and other interested parties.

This year, the forum takes place on September 24 and 25.
