KFU experts contribute to BRICS Societies for Sovereign Development roundtable
The roundtable was convened by the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan and headed by its Chairwoman Zilya Valeeva. It brought together major civil and religious figures from Russia, China, India, Iraq, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan – a total of about 200 participants – at the Kazan Kremlin.
Among the experts who took part in the work were Chair of the Department of International Relations, World Politics and Diplomacy of Andrei Bolshakov and Associate Professor of said department Yevgeniya Khramova.
In his report BRICS as a Phenomenon of Civilization Specificity and National Sovereignty of the New World Order, Professor Bolshakov voiced his opinion on the political processes taking place in the world.
“All existing projects need further discussion within the framework of the BRICS forum, projects of twinning of cities of the BRICS countries. Civil consolidation of these countries takes place on these platforms. In this regard, the BRICS forum is an important modern global project,” Bolshakov believes.
According to Dr Khramova, the proposal of the participants of the event to the heads of BRICS states to establish the Kazan International Forum of BRICS Societies for Sovereign Development once every two years is a serious step in the development of local civil society and parallel diplomacy.
