Symposium of the Association of Indonesian Students opened at KFU

The Permira Association’s two-day event includes lectures, an expo, open talks, and a plenary session.
Ambassador of Indonesia in Russia and Belarus José Antonio Morata Tavares welcomed the audience, “We celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Indonesian language is taught at Kazan University, and we are ready to assist in this area and provide support in acquiring linguistic and cultural competences.”
Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina informed that KFU hosts 13,000 international students, of which 8,000 are in Kazan.
“We play an important role in strengthening cultural ties and creating an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. KFU has a visible position on an international arena, making a contribution to staff training and public dialogue,” noted the Acting Director of the Institute of International Relations Rail Fakhrutdinov.
Permira Association unites about 1,500 Indonesian students in Russia.
“Our main objective is to develop leadership capabilites in every member of our collective. In future we want to work successfully in the government and big companies, acting as a familty thanks to this feeling of community and support imbued in our organization,” said Permira chairman at KFU Hidayatullah Muhamad Ferbi.
