MagistriUm competition now accepting applications
Kazan Federal University has started accepting applications for the MagistriUm Olympiad for 3rd-5th year students and university graduates. The qualifications run until 30 November.
The MagistriUm Olympiad is included in the list of competitions that provide grants for master’s degree programs. This list is annually approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
MagistriUm will be held in two stages in 34 specializations.
The qualifying stage (online) will last until November 30. It is open to graduates and students of 3rd to 5th years of higher education organizations in Russia and abroad.
The final stage will start at the end of January and end in the first decade of February. Applicants who have passed the qualifying stage and scored a sufficient number of points will be invited to take part in it.
“There will be a ranking list of participants based on their scores. The first half of the list will become participants of the final stage. It will be held in person at KFU,” says Dilyara Muravyova, Director of the Center for Work with Gifted Schoolchildren of the Department of Education.
Foreign citizens who do not reside in Russia at the time of the Olympiad can also take part. For them, the final stage will be held in an online format with the use of a proctoring system.
The winners and runners-up will receive KFU diplomas in electronic form and the opportunity to enroll in Kazan University’s master’s degree programs without entrance examinations. And foreign winners will have the opportunity to study in master’s degree programs within the quota allocated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
