Spring Festival celebrated at KFU
Chunjie, the Chinese Spring Festival, was celebrated yesterday at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication (IPIC). The event was co-organized by the KFU’s International Office and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan.
The concert began with welcoming speeches by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Acting Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan Cao Longquan.
Dr Alishev emphasized the fruitful relationship with China, “It is a great fortune for the university that thanks to the diverse palette of countries and cultures represented here, we have the opportunity to invisibly transport ourselves to different points of the world.”
Cao Longquan noted that the development of bilateral relations continues at a high pace, and expressed hope for successful cooperation in 2026-2027, declared in both countries the Years of Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the PRC in Education, “On behalf of all colleagues at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan, I want to congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and convey my sincere congratulations. I hope you will work diligently, achieve success, and make a greater contribution to the construction of the country and the development of China-Russia relations.”
Among the guests were also Institute Director Radif Zamaletdinov and deputy directors for international affairs of other institutes.
Among the perfomances were those by Chinese students of Kazan State Conservatory and IPIC.
