Welcome event held for newcomers at Universiade Village

The concert took place on 1 September.

The Knowledge Day celebration featured interactive entertainment, music performances, and a flag parade. Among the guests were KFU alumni – Rector Lenar Safin, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Airat Gatiyatov, Chairman of the Association of Russian Lawyers Ildar Khalikov, and Vice-President of VTB Bank Maryam Davletshina.

“Today I am very happy to welcome a new generation of students to my alma mater. You have made the main choice, determined your life path, future profession and today you are part of the big family of Kazan Federal University! For each of you a new stage in life begins, limitless opportunities for self-development, professional growth and achievement of goals open up. Engage in science, sports, creativity, social activities, invent and implement various projects, and the university will always support you at every stage!” enthused the Rector.

The guests personally handed over student IDs and souvenirs to successful freshmen – winner of various high school contexts and high perfomers at the Unified State Exam.

This year, the University admitted over 14 thousand individuals to undergraduate and graduate programs.
