KFU’s innovations presented at 2026 Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum
On August 27, a job fair for companies in the petrochemical industry was held at the Kazan Expo. It was organized by the Employment Center of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Kazan Federal University Career Center.
The Institute of Physics, the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, the Lobachevsky Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, and the Institute of Ecology, Biotechnology, and Nature Management set up exhibits at the forum. They held master classes and interactive sessions for participants on modern developments and in-demand training programs in the petrochemical industry.
“At the job fair, KFU’s key departments helped visitors better understand the skills they need to develop and the scientific technologies that will be relevant in the future, thereby assisting them in choosing a direction for their future professional development,” emphasized Liya Fatkhullina, a youth relations specialist at the university’s Career Center.
Along with the institutes, several local industrial giants took part, presenting current job openings for applicants and providing the opportunity to immerse themselves in professional activities through interactive events. The Rabota Rossii (Job in Russia) Recruitment Center also presented VR headsets, allowing visitors to learn about ten professions and perform various professional tasks virtually.
“The modern career guidance tools we introduced allowed fair visitors not only to gain information about the labor market but also to try out various professional roles to determine whether their chosen field is right for them,” noted Gulnara Filippova, First Deputy Director of the Employment Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Another interactive format was the game Live and Work in Tatarstan, developed by specialists at the Recruitment Center. Using the principles of a popular economic board game, participants could ‘win’ businesses in the republic and become their owners, while simultaneously learning about professional development opportunities in the region.
Once again, the job fair brought together science, the real economy, and future professionals to develop technologies and build successful careers.
