Consul General of Iran Dawood Mirzakhani meets with students

At a lecture at the Institute of International Relations, the Consul spoke about Iran’s economic development and multipolarity.

The diplomat said, in particular, “Global processes show that new forces emerge and a new order shapes up. The most important feature of this nascent world order is the appearance of new actors who have a solid standing in international and regional relations. Undoubtedly, the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of such forces.”

Iran is a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS. It also has a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to the Consul, the signing will boost economic ties between Iran the Union countries and that the Islamic Republic is eager to widen its cooperation with Russia in the economy.

He concluded the visit with a Q&A session.

The honored guest’s lecture was a part of the Farsi Language and Iranian Culture Week at the Institute of International Relations. It will continue on 15 March with Nowruz (spring equinox New Year) and 18 March with a showing of The White Ball film. On 19 March, Iranian students will talk about their Nowruz traditions.

At this moment, KFU hosts over 1,500 Iranian students, which is a steep growth compared with previous periods.
