First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky contributing to BRICS Universities Rectors’ Forum in Moscow
The two-day event, organized by the Russian Union of Rectors, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Lomonosov Moscow State University, takes up 17 and 18 October.
It is joined by about 200 representatives of universities and other scientific institutions from Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia.
The guests and participants of the event were welcomed by Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russia, and Viktor Sadovnichy, President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Moscow State University. One of the main objectives of the forum is to exchange experience and discuss topical issues of education, as well as to expand humanitarian cooperation between the BRICS countries.
“At the Rectors’ Forum the issues of creating a ranking of BRICS universities, including as a platform for mutual recognition of diplomas, are widely discussed. A decision was made to establish a network scientific journal of the BRICS countries,” says Dmitry Tayursky.
