International Office outlines priorities for 2026

The year’s final meeting on international affairs tool place on 27th December.
Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev welcomed the participants and gave the floor to Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, who presented results of 2025 in international cooperation.
The vice-rector then put emphasis on the priorities for 2026, among which is, in particular, academic mobility.KFU plans to expand activities in this area, including such projects as Program of the Languages of Friendly Countries, Lobachevsky Program for Invited Researchers, and Union State Network University of High Technology.
2026 is also the year of educational exchange between Russia and China, so the University plans to maximize its efforts in creating joint programs and research based on existing partnerships.
Among other priorities is promoting Russian language and culture in other countries, strengthening KFU’s work with alumni, and maintaining the number of international students.
In conclusion, Dr Alishev thanked everyone for their hard work and handed over letters of appreciation to employees.
Earlier in December, KFU was among the five Russian universities noted for their excellence in international cooperation at a press conference with Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstanting Mogilevsky.
