Jizzakh Branch visited by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev

During his vist to Jizzakh Region, the head of state toured a new medical center. He emphasized the importance of high-quality training for the development of healthcare in the country.

The President spoke with the Director, employees, and students of the Jizzakh Branch. Among the topics were further cooperation inside the local medical cluster, practice-oriented teaching, and introduction of global innovations into medical education.

Mr Mirziyoyev paid special attention to discussing international standards, digital tools, and AI in medical education and healthcare. He said that developing a full-scale healthcare cluster in Jizzakh opens new possibilities for joint programs with KFU for the local staff.

General medicine student Vokidzhon Akhmadov shared, “The conversation was pertinent and left an understanding that the opinions of students really do matter in decision-making.”
