KFU joins 2026 China Education Expo in Beijing

The university’s delegation included Nail Safin, Head of the International Student Recruitment and Admissions Unit, and Dina Burganova, a leading specialist at the same unit.

“Interest in Russian education in China is growing year after year. We are seeing a steady stream of applicants from China and strong interest among Chinese universities in implementing joint educational programs in various formats. Programmes in digital technologies, linguistics and philology, management, and oil and gas have traditionally been in demand,” Safin noted.

KFU’s exhibition activities began at the Russian Cultural Centre in Beijing, which hosted a series of presentations by Russian educational institutions and Chinese student recruitment agencies and schools. Russian universities also delivered online presentations to reach the widest possible audience. The participants exchanged views on developing existing cooperation and exploring promising new areas.

For the second consecutive year, Tang Qiongqiong, Wu Juanjuan, and Wang Xinjie, graduates of KFU’s Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, actively supported the delegation’s work.

“The exhibition in China is an excellent opportunity to present KFU once again at a major international event and showcase our capabilities and strengths in training qualified professionals. Particular recognition should be given to our graduates, who readily share their personal experiences of applying to the university, living in Kazan, and finding employment back home in China after graduation,” Burganova said.

Kazan Federal University maintains active cooperation with the People’s Republic of China. Approximately 1,500 Chinese nationals currently study at the university, and more than 70 agreements and memoranda of understanding with Chinese universities are in place. These partnerships take the form of joint research, educational programs, and academic exchanges.
