Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov visits Multifunctional Dentistry Clinic

He was in Kazan to join 220th university anniversary celebrations.

Among other things, the Minister toured some of KFU’s facilities, including the Institute of AI, Robotics and Systems Engineering and the Dentistry Clinic.

Accompanied by Rector Lenar Safin, the guest visited the department of children’s dentistry and orthodontics, the department of digital dentistry, the department of diagnostics, and the study rooms of the University’s Department of Dentistry and Implantology.

All the facilities are equipped with brand new infrastructure, including ergonomic dentistry chairs with built-in functions for treatment and preventive care. Doctors can use microscopes, and dental CT machine is at hand to diagnose problems with bone tissue of the maxillofacial area. Precision prosthetics are produced by CAD-CAM machines.

The Clinic also has two types of lasers, an implant production lab, and many other facilities.

There are also 24 medical simulators (phantoms) for teaching purposes.
