700 students graduate from KFU’s entrepreneurship acceleration program

The program is funded by the federal project University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform.

Over 70 projects were pitched by program participants with some help from the University’s Startup Studio, Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund, Center for Technological Transfer of Innopolis University, and employees of professional services companies.

In the finals, the experts especially praised three projects.

The first, ‘Polymethylsiloxane as a multifunctional soil sorbent’ is aimed at creating a technology for preparation and application of polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate solutions into soil as a multifunctional sorbent. Areas of application: purification of urbanized soil areas from various pollutants (heavy metals, organic pollutants, etc.), creation of long-term substrates for growing various plant cultures.

The second, ‘Printer with erasable ink for reusable paper’ is the development of a printer for reusable paper. The idea of the project initiators is based on an innovative approach that provides for the creation of a printer that allows reusable sheets for printing, which reduces office expenses per employee by several thousand rubles per year.

The third, ‘Furniture from recyclable materials’, is aimed at producing eco-friendly household items.

The projects now have real chances to obtain further funding. Many of the winners may choose to join Student Startup, the next iteration of which is scheduled for February 2024.
