Delegation of Tashkent Institute of Finance welcomed at university

The team comprised Rector of TIF Tolqin Teshabayev, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Alimnazar Islamkulov, Head of the Section of Research and Innovation Abdunabi Pardayev, and Chief Specialist of the Center for Acceleration and Incubation Azizbek Khaitov.

They were met on 18 May by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and other KFU employees. The guests were shown KFU’s museums and a presentation of our university’s current developments. In particular, KFU has ties with 44 Uzbekistani organizations and implements 46 joint educational programs with them. Kazan University also hosts 2,282 Uzbekistani students, which is the biggest number among all Russian universities.

KFU and TIF signed a memorandum of understanding in 2018 and are now expanding cooperation in double diplomas and distance education.

Rector Tolqin Teshabayev informed that his institute aims to be among the national champions and is already in the fifth place in Uzbekistani rankings – and first in research indicators. He said,

“I didn’t know what Kazan University really was and am surprised how big it is and how rich its history is. It has everything to train quality staff.”

On 19 May, the visitors toured the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance to discuss cooperation in detail.
