Educational links discussed with Gebze Technical University and Fenerbahçe University

Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev has concluded his trip to Turkey.

During the talks with Rector of Gebze Technical University Muhammed Hasan Aslan, both sides presented their institutions. Joint research in chemistry and petrochemistry and advanced training for corporate clients at GTU were mentioned. There is also interest in bilateral programs in physics and information technology. The two universities will sign a memorandum of understanding and conduct seminars.

The next meeting was with representatives of Fenerbahçe University, a new institution (founded in 2016) with a focus on sports, medicine, psychology, and management. Last year, the university introduced lessons of Russian as a foreign language. KFU and FU agreed to organize summer schools in Russian and other languages in Kazan and to use KFU’s online language learning platform Studerus. Academic mobility will be arranged for master students of psychology and pedagogy of youth athletics from the Institute of Psychology and Education of Kazan University. A memorandum of understanding will be signed here as well.
