Freshmen can choose elective courses as part of new project
The Universal Competences initiative is a part of the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership program.
Among the specializations included in the pilot program are Hydrometeorology, Environmental Protection and Nature Management, Soil Studies, Land Management and Cadastral Registry, Biotechnology, Information Systems and Technology, Applied Informatics, Program Engineering, and Linguistics.
Students of the programs can choose over 15 elective disciplines from 3 large modules: philosophy, history, and natural science. Every module has courses in English language and e-learning courses.
Thus, students can create individual educational tracks by choosing disciplines. The project will involve students from different specializations in temporary collectives, which will help them establish new links in a large KFU family.
