Further cooperation discussed with Gazpromneft
Director for Technology of Gazpromneft Aleksey Vashkevich and his colleagues arrived on 15 April.
Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences Danis Nurgaliev familiarized the guests with ongoing projects in oil extraction enhancement and educational programs implemented by CDO GEO, KFU’s center for advanced training in relevant disciplines.
Among the discussed work were developments in polymer-based gas blockage technologies and KFU’s combustion tube equipment.
The visitors were also shown Geo-Indicator and GIS Neuro, two proprietary software tools for geochemical and geophysical research of fluid dynamics in deposits.
KFU representatives also spoke about their plans in Russian Energy Transition, one of the five strategic projects included in the University’s Priority 2030 initiative.
Gazpromneft and KFU signed a cooperation agreement in October 2021.
