Kazan University dorms to welcome 14 thousand students
Check-ins start on 24 August.
On 23 August, local media employees toured the dormitories of the Universiade Village, including rooms, laundries, kitchens, hallways, and balconies.
Renovation works before the academic year are still underway, with a total funding of 75 million rubles. All plans are discussed with students to better cater to their needs.
Students from overseas are always eager to help their compatriots to settle at the dorms. The vast majority of foreign nationals come from China, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
The Universiade Village is the main dorm campus of Kazan University; it’s shared with Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism (VSUPCST). The Village’s area is 53 hectares. KFU students live in 21 houses, of which 16 are 5-storey buildings and 5 are multi-storey.
The campus includes a supermarket, a rental office, a post office, a copy center, a tailor shop, and a laundromat room.
