KFU delegation visiting Iran

The team is headed by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.

The other two members are Deputy Director for Innovation of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Vladislav Sudakov and Director of the Center for Precision and Regenerative Medicine Albert Rizvanov.

The first day was marked by a meeting with the President of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) Sadollah Nasiri. The guests showed a presentation of Kazan University and discussed some details of Dr. Nasiri’s upcoming visit to Kazan.

The Kazanites visited the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology and talked about possible cooperation in pharmaceutical equipment. At the Faculty of Earth Sciences, the sides discussed research in geochemistry and funding by Iranian oil companies. An agreement was reached with the Department of Russian Language of SBU to use KFU’s Studerus software kit for Russian language studies by the Iranian side.

The visitors later met with Vice-President of the University of Tehran Mohammad Marandi – he visited Kazan recently to partake in KazanSummit 2022. The two sides discussed links in Russian and Persian language, journalism, international business, and others. KFU’s television studio Univer TV will produce a special show about Iran and the University of Tehran, and a similar program about Tatarstan and Kazan University is to be shown by Iranian television.

Finally, the delegation spoke with prospective students of Kazan Federal University.
