KFU represented at educational expo in Karachi, Pakistan
The expo involves eight Russian universities and is coordinated by Rossotrudnichestvo (Agency for International Humanitarian Cooperation).
Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, who attended the event, comments, “We currently have 7 Pakistani students. It’s not a big number for a country of 230 million people. Over 60 percent of population are people under the age of 30. There is a huge demand for higher education. Young people here are mostly interested in programs in management, IT, program engineering, and medicine.”
In 2022, Pakistan is poised to receive 50 scholarships from Rossotrudnichestvo to cover full tuition in a Russian university of choice. Meetings are being held with Pakistani educational officials, representatives of professional associations, local universities, and other interested parties.
Just a few days in Karachi, KFU and COMSTECH signed a cooperation agreement.
