Medical Worker Day marked with awards to employees

A ceremony was held on 15 June at Kazan Federal University.

Among the guests were Vice-Premier of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Minister of Health of Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov, and others.

In his opening speech, Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky congratulated the healthcare workers, calling them real heroes, “You are distinguished by your faithfulness to your profession, kind-heartedness, patience, and strong will. You really have proved this during the coronavirus pandemic. We are always infinitely grateful for your work and your care.”

He mentioned that KFU is one of the very few universities in Russia equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to provide medical education and introduce new medical technology into practice.

The Vice-Premier handed over a letter of appreciation to KFU’s University Clinic for its outstanding performance in providing medical services to the population.

Kazan University currently has several departments and units engaged in medical education and research, including the University Clinic with 2,000 employees.

The Medical Worker Day in Russia is celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
