New hostel to open doors to Iranian students in city center
A new facility is located on a cozy street not far from the majority of KFU buildings in Kazan.
General Director of Rusdanesh LLC, KFU’s partner company, Farashiani Mahdi comments, “The hostel will mostly be targeted at Iranian students from Kazan Federal University. It has three floors with 15 bunks each, or 45 in total. Two thirds will be allocated to women because they have more difficulties with finding adequate accommodation. It’s a sizable investment in the well-being of our students in Russia.”
Every room has a separate washroom, and there is one kitchen and washing machine per floor. According to Mahdi, the hostel will be ready for check-ins in December.
This is what Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina had to say, “KFU is tasked with offering new places for accommodation of international students. As of now, just the one country of Iran has a representation of about 1,000 individuals at our university. I very much hope that our inaugural experience with such cooperation will become a success, and we will be able to scale it further.”
