Kazan Federal University

Several more meetings organized for Kazan University delegation in Iran

The visit has concluded.

KFU delegation comprised Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and representatives of the International Office, the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, and the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies.

The guests made a stop at Islamic Azad University, one of the largest international university conglomerates in the world.

Vice-Rector Alishev comments, “During our meetings with executives we mapped out some first steps. They include Russian language studies, joint educational programs, research, and visits by Iranian academics to Kazan Federal University. We also had some online meetings with prospective students and schools that plan to consult their students on possible enrolment in KFU. The visit was very fruitful.”

A meeting was arranged with Allameh Tabataba’i University. An agreement was reached to include the university in KFU’s teacher education network, to use KFU’s proprietary Studerus software for Russian language studies, and to shoot TV programs for channels in both countries.

Another visit was to Tehran University of Medical Sciences. A workgroup will develop a roadmap for cooperation between our two institutions.

Finally, talks were held with Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology. The sides discussed programs in petroleum engineering and business administration, as well as research and internships for Iranian scholars in relevant topics.

A convention of the Union of Rectors of Russia and Iran is scheduled for October 2022.
