Soran University visited by KFU representatives

The Iraqi university hosted the International Symposium on Resources and Technologies of Natural Gas Production.

The symposium was co-organized by Soran University, Kazan Federal University, Komar University of Science and Technology, and Society of Petroleum Engineers.

KFU delegates comprised Lead Research Associate Mikhail Varfolomeev, Junior Research Associate Mustafa Abaas, and Junior Research Associate Indad Salih.

KFU employees spoke its promising technology of hydrate preservation and transportation of natural gas. It’s one of the projects of our World-Class Research Center in Liquid Hydrocarbons. Such a technology is of great promise for utilizing associated gas for the needs of remote regions where using liquefied gas or pipeline gas is unfeasible.

Cooperation in undergraduate and graduate programs and research in petroleum science was also discussed with Iraqi colleagues.
