Tatarstan Student League praises KFU’s approach to dorm administration
The League’s regular meeting on 25 October was visited by Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Timur Suleymanov.
Vice-President for Legal Affairs of the Student League Bulat Nasyibullin presented a report on a recent comprehensive study of provincial dormitories. A special mention was made of Kazan Federal University’s experience.
“All KFU dormitories don’t have a curfew, a bed is provided for the entire length of studies, and expulsions are performed in strict compliance with law,” commented Nasyibullin.
Thus, KFU was proclaimed an exemplary institution in dormitory management. The survey covered 86 university dorms and 82 vocational school dorms in Tatarstan.
As the League shared, many dorms still have certain legal problems: 78% of them impose a curfew on dwellers, and 70% don’t provide a bed for the entire period of studies.
