Top overseas students invited to International Graduate Day

The traditional event took place at the History Museum.

Present at the celebration were Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, and Deputy Director for International Cooperation of the Institute of International Relations Albina Imamutdinova.

Dr Alishev was the first to address the gathering, “A huge world is now open for you. You are qualified professionals, and we hope that the knowledge and experience at Kazan University will help you in your growth. Your class was very proactive. We are a bit sad to bid farewell to the best representatives of the student body.”

Chair of the Department of Pre-Bachelor Studies of the Preparatory School for International Students Darya Ivanova noted, “I want to congratulate you on this achievement, and I am sure that your greatest successes lie ahead.”

One of the graduates, Gilbert Naolissia Aldonove Pouabou, said, “If I had gone to another university, I would not have had the same opportunities as at Kazan Federal University. Kazan Federal University allowed me to enrich my culture through the experience of international friendships. I participated in various debates, conferences and forums, and also developed my soccer skills through training with the Yulbars team, for which I want to say a huge thank you to KFU.”

Over 1,500 overseas nationals received their diplomas this summer, and 848 more graduated from the Preparatory School.
