University employees get commended on World Teachers’ Day

A ceremony at Kazan Kremlin today was hosted by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and featured Rector Lenar Safin.

Fidaliya Khalikova, who teaches at KFU IT Lyceum, was named Distinguished Teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Chair of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy Alfiya Masalimova and Director of the Lobachevsky Lyceum Yelena Skobeltsyna received the Makhmutov Award, a governmental award of Tatarstan bestowed for advancements in teacher education and teaching theory.

The event was also visited by Presidential Chief of Staff of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Chief of Operations of the Office of the President of Tatarstan Muslikh Sitdikov, Deputy Chairman of the State Council Marat Akhmetov, and other officials.
