University visited by Ambassador of Benin in Russia André Biaou Akambi Okounlola

The guest was accompanied by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Counsellor to the Rector Linar Latypov.

The sides discussed cooperation in education. Currently, Kazan University hosts 9 Beninese students studying medicine, geology, petroleum engineering, humanities, and economics.

The ambassador met with his compatriots at the History Museum to talk about their everyday needs, such as visa extensions and scholarships. Many of them have stayed in Russia for a while because of the coronavirus pandemic. The young people were also interested in mutual recognition of graduation documents between Russia and their homeland.

His Excellency and KFU representatives expressed hope for further expansion of links.
