University visited by President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov

He met with Rector Lenar Safin on 30 November.

They were joined by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky, Aide to the President of Tatarstan Albert Gilmutdinov, CEO of Tatneftekhim-Invest Holding (Tatarstan Petroleum Chemistry Investment Holding) Rafinat Yarullin, and others. Before the meeting, Academician Krasnikov toured the History Museum and the Lenin Memorial Classroom.

Later. he was familiarized with KFU’s priorities, research, and strategic projects of the Priority 2030 initiative. The sides discussed questions of cooperation with scientific institutions and the economy, technological sovereignty, and the nation’s research priorities.

Gennady Krasnikov emphasized that more active collaboration between universities and the Russian Academy of Sciences is one of the main pillars of Russia’s research leadership. He mentioned that one of the useful initiatives is creating joint departments with RAS at universities.

Rector Safin said that it’s important to establish joint research teams from university and Academy employees to work on significant interdisciplinary scholarly projects.
