Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev visiting Kazakhstan

The delegation is staying in the country from 4 to 9 April.

The Vice-Rector is accompanied by Counselor to the Rector Rashid Azimov.

Dr. Alishev comments, “We met with the executives of Nazarbayev University and discussed cooperation in biomedicine and petroleum and gas technology. We are planning several online meetings with deans to find points of mutual interest in research. We are interested in joint projects.”

The visitors also met with representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo at the Russian Science and Culture Center in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.

“We also went to the Eurasian National University to talk about cooperation in physics, international relations, law, and Russian philology. We are very interested in launching joint bachelor and master programs,” continues Alishev.

Eurasian National University is the headquarters of the local office of Qayum Nasyri Institute, a nonprofit educational entity tasked with popularizing Tatar language and culture.

The delegates will further move to Almaty and Shymkent, two large cities with notable academic presence.
