Accommodation: general information

During their studies at KFU, international students live in the dormitories of the Student Campus, in the residential buildings of the Universiade Village, in apartments (rented or staying with relatives), and in hostels.

Kazan Federal University provides bed space in dormitories in accordance with the Regulations for provision of accommodation in KFU dormitories for non-local students subject to availability.

Please pay attention to several important aspects of living in KFU dormitories:

  1. International applicants, who apply for the 1st-year of Bachelor/Specialist/Master programs and need living accommodation in KFU dormitories, shall mark a special field in the “Dormitory” section of the personal account in social and education network “Budu studentom!” (“I will be a student!”) and submit an application for living accommodation in KFU dormitories for the period of. Such application must be submitted by 23:59 on August 20, 2022 (Moscow time).
  2. Waiting lists for accommodation in KFU dormitories are formed by housing commissions of the main structural subdivisions and these lists are compiled in accordance with the categories of students specified in the Regulations. To confirm that you belong to these categories, you need to attach the necessary documents according to Regulations in electronic format (pdf) in your personal account in the social and educational network “Budu Studentom”. Such application must be submitted by 23:59 on August 20, 2022 (Moscow time).
  3. Please note that if within 14 calendar days from the date you received a notice on provision a bed space in a KFU dormitory you do not conclude a contract for rent of accommodation in a dormitory and did not inform in writing (please fill in the Application in Russian) the respective employee of KFU on valid reasons for not concluding a contract for accommodation, you may be denied a bed in the dormitory.

For issues of check-in and living in KFU dormitories:

 

When checking-in a dormitory, you need to have the following medical documents:

  1. Passport (original + 2 copies of pages 2–3, 5)
  2. Health insurance policy (Voluntary Health Insurance) valid for the whole period of stay in Russia (the original and one copy, if available), Mandatory Health Insurance (OMS) (if you have temporary or permanent residence permit)
  3. Migration card (original + 1 copy)
  4. Blood test for RW (from the clinic at the place of residence, valid for 14 days)
  5. The result of the fluorographic examination made over the recent year (two copies)
  6. Dermatovenerologist’s certificate (from the clinic at the place of residence, valid for three days)
  7. Conclusion from a medical doctor for dormitory placement (to be made at the time of dormitory check-in)
  8. Certificate on attending safety training (given at the check-in in the dormitory)
  9. Foreign student registration sheet (given at the check-in in the dormitory)
  10. Exit checklist (for graduates of Preparatory School of KFU)
  11. Certificate on attending migration information briefing (given at the check-in in the dormitory)
  12. Photo 3 x 4 cm – 3 pieces

You can also undergo a medical examination for dormitory placement upon arrival in Kazan
