History Museum to display items obtained in 2023

The exhibition will be unveiled at 4 pm on 26 January.

Last year, the KFU Museum Complex grew by 500 storage items, half of which were added to the collections of the History Museum,

Among them are 147 photos and documents from Ivan Ionenko‘s collection – his 110th anniversary was celebrated last year. The items were handed over by his son, Director of KFU’s Center for Unified State Exam Testing Sergey Ionenko.

Marina Leschinskaya, artist Pavel Benkov‘s granddaughter, donated 29 items from archives of the Traubenberg family from the late 19th – early 20th centuries.

Shtukenberg Geological Museum received two new mineral specimens – calcite druse with galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite, and quartz druze in rancierite.

The Ethnographical Museum acquired some new artifacts of the material culture of the ancient inhabitants of Tatarstan. Apart from that, a ritual doll made from rye was gifted by the Russian Folklore Union and a Chuvash women’s dress from the early 20th century – by KFU’s Institute of International Relations.

Over 200 new items filled the reserves of the Zoological Museum. Among the new vertebrates are a forest mouse, an adder, and a dormouse.
