Director of KFU Museums Svetlana Frolova receives appreciation letter from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Russia

The ceremony took place during a seminar in Moscow.

Dr Frolova was awarded by Deputy Minister Konstantin Mogilevsky.

According to her, 12 KFU museums comprise an immense collection of items elucidating the 220-year-long history of Russia’s second oldest university.

Among KFU’s museum initiatives supported by the Ministry are University Museums for Children and Virtual Museum of the Snow Squads.

“This year, we are planning about 30 expositions. Many of them are covering the 220th anniversary. RIght now, an expo dedicated to the 125th anniversary of rector Kirill Sitnikov is in place, an expo about 110th anniversary of rector Mikhail Nuzhin is planned for September, as well as those for the 130th anniversary of Nikolai Chebotaryov and 120th anniversary of Alexander Norden,” notes Dr Frolova.

The Museum Directorate is also hosting its regular KFU history quiz for students – the winners will be awarded with a trip to Saint Petersburg. The idea has been borrowed by Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University, and a similar event is now being held there.
