KFU opens photo exhibition in Kazan Kremlin

The exhibition is in place until 15 October.

“The Close-up Science is a landmark exhibition. Of course, we cannot present all the results obtained by our scientists, but we tried to reflect the most interesting ones in order to show that the university scientists are always on the edge of advanced scientific research, working at the international level, obtaining significant results both for the world science and for the development of science in Russia. It is important that the scientific results obtained by scientists are transformed into practical applications necessary for the country’s economy,” comments First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky.

The photo stands reveals some of the more captivating results shown by KFU scientists during the last year.

“This is an important project designed to inform and involve our citizens in the key strategic initiatives of our university. We see it not as a one-time action, but as a permanent information portal so that residents and guests of the republic could learn how the scientific and educational center of Tatarstan sees the transformation and new economy. It is important for us to be able to correlate the movement of our strategic projects, laboratories, initiatives with the wishes and needs of the residents of the Republic,” adds Vice-Rector for Economic and Strategic Development Marat Safiullin.

Among the photos are university-grown crystals, stem cells, burning ice, medical simulators, and much more.

Each of the stands links to a short video where researchers speak about their work in more detail.
