University representatives and friends share memories at Our Victory live studio





A special live event took place on the porch of the Main Building.
The project was organized by KFU and student popular science channel UNIVER TV and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the improvised street TV studio everyone could share the stories of their relatives and friends – front-line soldiers and home front workers, as well as those who these days are defending their homeland on the fields of the special military operation.
The guests of the project were Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Bariev, Rector of Kazan Federal University Lenar Safin, Advisor to the Rector of KFU on Security, retired Lieutenant General Dinar Khamitov, First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova, Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Comprehensive Security Rishat Guzeirov, Vice-Rector for Finance Rishat Gazizullin, Dean of the Faculty of Law Liliya Bakulina, Acting Director of the Institute of International Relations, History and Eastern Studies Rail Fakhrutdinov, and others.
The filming lasted six hours in non-stop mode. After the interview, each of the guests of the May studio wrote the name of the Winner in a special commemorative book, which will be deposited in the Museum of History of Kazan University. The participants were also given the symbol of Victory – the St. George ribbon. Many of the university’s guests simply stopped to listen to the touching stories and real-time memories.
