Victory Day event held at Cairo Branch

The festive meeting was co-organized with the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Cairo.

Before the start, an exhibition of the most famous photos of the war times “Their feat is immortal”, taken by the frontline correspondents of TASS, was presented. Each photo of the exhibition is signed in Russian and Arabic and is accompanied by comments of the participants of the Youth Club of the Russian House in Cairo.

The concert program was organized by young artists of the children’s musical ensemble “Kalinka”. They sang popular songs of the war years and recited poems of frontline poets, which were synchronously translated into Arabic. Students and teachers warmly welcomed all the performances and supported the little actors with great applause.

“We consider it important to preserve the historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War and to hold events aimed at fostering humanism in the student community. The directorate and student activists of the branch pay great attention to the organization of events that strengthen the Russian-Egyptian friendship, which certainly has a positive impact on intercultural interaction, helps integrate students of the Cairo Branch into the friendly family of Kazan Federal University,” said Lead Specialist of KFU’s International Office Pavel Rezvyakov.

After the event, the guests were invited for a tour of the branch, during which they visited laboratories and medical workshops.
