Employees of University Clinic’s COVID ward featured in local photo expo

Seventeen doctors posed for the event co-organized by the University Clinic and the Pharmaceutical Medical Polis of Tatarstan.

Local shopping facility, KazanMall, offered to host the photo exposition. Banners with portrait photos are supplemented with the physicians’ own takeaways from the ongoing battle with the disease.

“The most difficult thing is when, while literally holding a patient’s hand and doing everything to treat them, you realize that the virus is still prevailing. It was very helpful to see the professionalism and the team spirit of our doctors, nurses, diagnosticians and maintenance workers. This teamwork really has contributed to the round-the-clock smooth functioning of our infectious ward, helped to provide individual approaches to every patient and up-to-date treatment,” shares Head of Therapy at the University Clinic Emma Mukhametshina.

General practitioner Aygul Sharkhemullina adds, “This is war… because it brings suffering, pain, psychological trauma, leads to ruined lives. Undoubtedly, those who have contributed to the fight with the pandemic will be remembered as angels in scrubs.”

The expo will stay at the mall until tomorrow and then will be permanently relocated to the Medical Industrial Park of Tatarstan.
