The Rector noted, “Speaking about professional training, we decided to popularize student science clubs, first and foremost in natural sciences. We involve students into research through such clubs so that they remain to work at the university.” He mentioned that KFU plans to open a new technology park at Kazan Expo, a major expo center in the suburbs of Kazan.

Dmitry Chikrin presented cooperation between KAMAZ and KFU’s Center for Digital Transformation. He spoke about student construction bureaus and Industry 4.0 project. Among them he mentioned EXMACHINA (a virtual conveyor belt simulation for various production facilities), VeHIL (a combined virtual-physical automobile test polygon), and Resonance (a system for evaluation of effectiveness of utilization for machines and mechanisms).

Nayil Kashapov spoke about projects put forth by the Institute of Engineering. Among the discussed initiatives were digital twins of automobiles and the future of transportation.
