Interim Rector Dmitry Tayursky’s address to parents of international students
Dear all,
Currently, some media outlets are presenting inaccurate information about the situation in Russia and its largest cities. There are rumors of socio-economic complications, logistical difficulties, and security problems.
This has nothing to do with reality. The overall situation in the country is stable, and public security is maintained. Flight restrictions are temporary and will soon be lifted.
Nowadays, about one in five KFU students are from overseas. There are young people from over 100 countries. Kazan Federal University fulfills and will continue to fulfill all its obligations to students, regardless of where they come from. The University will support every international student who stays in Russia in this difficult time and will provide them with the necessary information and support.
Kazan Federal University will do everything necessary to ensure the stability and quality of the educational process, as well as a comfortable and safe stay in Kazan for your children who have chosen Russia as a place of study and are going to receive diplomas from one of the best universities in Russia.
On our part, we kindly ask you to stay calm, support your children, and recommend that they focus on continuing their studies.
Interim Rector, Professor
Dmitry Tayursky
