International students eligible for free-of-charge COVID vaccination

At this moment, they can be immunized with a single-component Sputnik Light.

Currently, KFU welcomes about 10,500 international students, of whom 8,500 are studying on-site in Russia. Since the vaccination campaign started, over 2,000 of them have been inoculated.

To be vaccinated, a foreign national must provide their passport and a medical insurance card (if available).

Our student from Guatemala, Mac Kiroa Christopher Andre, was one of the early vaccine adopters in April, “I decided to do it as soon as the vaccine became available. I am grateful to Russia because it’s vaccinating foreign citizens.”

Among the current contraindications to the inoculation are acute phases of chronic diseases, fever, breastfeeding, and allergic reactions to vaccine components. Persons under 18 years of age are so far not eligible for the procedure.
