Kazan Federal University among the top 300 in the world in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

The institution has retained its place in the 201-300 bracket.

In particular, KFU has improved its standing in some categories. It is now 36th in the Quality Education category, 97th in Decent Work and Economic Growth, and 75th in Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. The indicators are all borrowed from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

As for other positions, the University has fared as follows:

No Poverty – 201-300 in the world and 8th in Russia;

Good Health and Well-being – 401-600 and 16th in Russia;

Climate Action – 201-300 and 7th in Russia;

Partnerships for the Goals – 301-400 and 3rd in Russia.

The rankings methodology comprises publications, initiatives, and governance.

As Vice-Rector for Economic and Strategic Development Marat Safiullin noted, the competition in Impact Rankings has really increased. In 2021, there are 1,115 universities in the list, compared to just 768 in the prior rankings.
