Kazan University donated over 2,000 books to a secondary school in Khujand, Tajikistan

The ceremony took place in Gulchini Magrifat School on November 24.

Interim Head of the Russian House in Khujand Nikita Bykhovsky visited the event and praised KFU as one of the best universities in Russia.

Vice-Rector for Education Timirkhan Alishev said that there are currently 350 Tajikistani students at our university and said, “This number is growing. We are interested in cooperation. Undoubtedly, one of our main tasks is for the children to receive education in Russian at schools in Tajikistan, so that they can pass entrance tests, enter the Russian-language educational programs of higher education at our university. We have been working with this school for a long time. It is our trusted supplier of talented applicants. One of the university’s missions is to promote Russian education and Russian language in Central Asia. We are implementing this historic task in the 21st century, including by sending educational materials to our partner educational organizations.”

The books comprise materials for mathematics, nature studies, geography, algebra, physics, social studies, chemistry, Russian language, Russian literature, biology, and geometry.
