Kazan University presented its pitch for Priority 2030’s special grant

The general grant was already awarded to KFU on 27 September.

The special grant commission includes, among others, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov, President of Sberbank German Gref, Chairman of the Board of Gazpromneft Alexander Dyukov, and President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev.

During the presentation on 2 October, Rector Ilshat Gafurov spoke about KFU’s overarching strategy of integrated education with a special focus on comprehensive skills in digital technology, biomedicine, finance, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.

The University’s strategic projects for the next stage of its development are:

Genomic and Postgenomic Technologies of Healthcare and Biological Literacy for Sustainable Development;

Russian Energy Transition – Balance of Natural Potential and Global Trends;

Digital Genomics of Materials;

Artificial Intelligence, Info-Communication Technology and Cyber-Physical Systems;

Evidence-Based Technology and Platform Solutions for the Development of Human Potential.

All the priorities are in line with Russia’s Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development.
