KFU’s visit to Uzbekistan continues with more meetings

On January 21, several events were arranged.

Minister of Higher and Vocational Education of Uzbekistan Abdukodir Toshkulov welcomed Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, Interim Rector of KFU Dmitry Tayursky, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, and Vice-Rector for Construction and Maintenance Lenar Safiullin.

The sides discussed the upcoming of KFU’s Jizzakh Branch, including procurement, funding, and premises. The branch, as was mentioned, will also include Center for Russian Language Testing and Preparatory School of Russian Language. Minister Toshkulov expressed his wish to visit Kazan in the spring of this year.

After that, the delegation proceeded to the Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. They talked with local colleagues about signing a memorandum of understanding, joint internships at Kazan University, publications, and other matters. A return visit is also expected soon.

Finally, the Kazanians met with Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.
