Acting Director of the Institute of International Relations, History and Eastern Studies Rail Fakhrutdinov contributing to 6th Theological Heritage of Russian Muslims Forum in Bolgar Islamic Academy
Almaz Faizullin, Deputy Head of the Department for Interaction with Religious Organizations of the Internal Policy Directorate of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.
“Defending, preserving and developing the foundation on which the traditional religions of Russia stand, our spiritual and moral values are based, working together with government agencies and all institutions of society is extremely important. Only together we can achieve good, positive results for the good of the country and society,” summarized the representative of the Presidential Administration.
Rail Fakhrutdinov noted the significance of the event, “The current forum is taking place in an environment that encourages all of us to value our interfaith and interethnic harmony and peace even more. Today we are witnessing the process of rapprochement between Russia and the countries of the Muslim world, which once again confirms to us the possibility of successful inter-civilizational cooperation in the formation of a multipolar world. We at KFU attach great importance to cooperation with the Bolgar Islamic Academy in the development of research in the field of Islamic studies. For example, every year KFU in cooperation with the Strategic Vision Group Russia – Islamic World organizes international youth schools.”
Currently, the Institute has over 1,000 students enrolled in Asian and African studies programs, with one of the widest selections of language courses in Russia, including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Hindi, Swahili, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, and Urdu.
