Geochemical research presented to Tatarstan Petroleum Chemistry Investment Holding

Rector Lenar Safin visited a regular meeting of the company on 30 May.

The event was helmed by Rais (Governor) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

KFU presented its latest geochemical research aimed at old deposits. Our scientists currently study reservoir fluids and geological processes in oil and gas production and offer methods for efficient oil recovery. As a result, cost-effective techniques for aged reservoirs are suggested.

A geochemical consortium has been formed with industrial partners Tatneft, Gazpromneft, and Rosneft to study AI applications in oil prospecting. New technologies will be developed for local and international markets.

Governor Minnikhanov reminded that the University should tighten its cooperation with research partners, specifically TatNIPIneft (Tatarstan Research and Production Institute of Petroleum).
